Only as many as you must and that make sense. Keep it below 100-150 or search engines might ignore the rest. Keep in mind that the "link juice" or the page’s voting power of each individual link (internal or external) is divided by the number of links on the page.
The 100-150 is not an exact figure, because it also depends on the type of web site where the links are placed. "web hubs" or "web directories" have usually more outbound links than 100 or even 150 per page. Search Engines are smart enough to realize that and tread such sites differently.
Short, avoid excessive linking on any page and you should be fine.
