Well, I always thought that was what Google News was all about. :)

@jesperthegreat What if one “fact” is that the thing you’re searching for just happened?

If I search for Tiger Woods 1 minute after that story broke, yeah I’d want to see facts about Tiger Woods, but I’d also want to see the very latest stream of Tiger Woods data, in many cases.

That’s a very good point you make about people taking the wrong path, will be competing against people (and maybe organizations?) who are doing illegal things.
You could then assume, for them to be successful on that path, they would also need to resort to illegal things.

Cheers
James

I don’t get the whole real time thing. Why would I want to run a real time search when I am searching for facts? Aren’t the contents composite with regards to my search query more important than what happened just there and then?

I REALLY like that you’re going to work on your interface. Especially if you’re looking to work with social search. I think ASK had a good visual expression a couple of years back. :)

As you stated, Real time thing is something very hard to combine with relevant search results, I reckon. Real life example is Twitter, when you search for something on Twitter and you will get tons of results but nothing match you with what you search for. I think Google could make a big different in that sense. Still experiments and beta are always give the platform to come up with real innovation. Looking forward for 2010 Google! ;)

Still like the short hair - but I gotta say.

Until you guise get copied content and cheapt SEO linking from Wordpress, Joomla + Drupal out the way there’s a flood of stuff coming which makes it really hard for us genuine content deliverers to work on the same scale.

Just a thought - but a biggun’

I think essentially the reasons behind black hat / hacking boils down to financial short term benefits.

Blackhats commonly chase the money terms - they aren’t (generally) interested in ranking for any other reason than that. Show me a blackhat - and I’ll show you a site with quick fire high monetary gains to be had, in markets with large advertising budgets. Cut off the financial gain = cut in the spam.
